Methodology
We run 5 canonical category queries ("best {vertical} in {city}," variations) against Perplexity Sonar Online via the OpenRouter API. Sonar Online performs a live web search and returns citation URLs alongside the answer; we extract the URLs and check each response for a fuzzy match of your business name. Score = (citations / total successful queries) × 100.
This is a free directional check. It reflects how an AI search engine answers buyer-intent category queries against the public web at the time of the run. AI engines update their citation behavior frequently; numbers shift even when the underlying business does not.
